The Costa Blanca

The province of Alicante is a destination where you will find endless landscapes to discover and a culture as rich and varied as it is historic. The friendliness of its people and its Mediterranean essence will captivate you from the moment you arrive and make you feel right at home. Delve into Alicante’s Costa Blanca and enjoy this unique experience.

Its 200 kilometres of coastline make it an ideal place to discover every corner of the Mediterranean. Along the Costa Blanca you will find pleasant beaches with fine sand and crystal-clear waters where you can relax, unwind and enjoy a peaceful day. However, its coastline also offers a multitude of stunning rocky coves, highly prized throughout the Valencian Community for their unique relief, allowing you to contemplate and enjoy unique landscapes and new sensations.

A total of 170 beaches and coves make this province a unique place and the coast with the most quality awards in Spain. Water sports enthusiasts will also find their place on the Costa Blanca, as its coastline allows you to practise different sports such as windsurfing, sailing, diving, kayaking, paddle surfing, etc. Don’t choose, enjoy them all!

Throughout the province of Alicante, you can also discover a landscape of contrasts, with steep, high mountains such as Puig Campana and renowned mountain ranges such as Aitana and Mariola. We suggest you enjoy active tourism and discover all the options that this incomparable landscape has to offer.

Its characteristics offer you a wide range of routes: climbing for the more adventurous or hiking for the whole family. The Gran Ruta Costa Blanca Interior (Great Costa Blanca Inland Route) is an example of this, inviting us to cover almost 435 kilometres, divided into twenty stages, from which we can choose the one that best suits our needs and thus get to know the province of Alicante.

If we head inland from the Costa Blanca, we will be surprised by its charming towns and magical castles, such as Villena, Sax, Biar, Novelda, Alcoy and Cocentaina, which preserve a rich artistic and cultural heritage. Elche is a city known for its impressive palm grove, the largest in Europe, and for the emblematic Misteri d’Elx. These two cultural gems have been recognised by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites.

From north to south and east to west, the province of Alicante will surprise you with an ecosystem of great natural and scenic value, an incomparable cultural wealth and, of course, a unique cuisine where you will discover the authentic flavour of the Mediterranean diet. Seafood, vegetables, fruit and tradition are the main ingredients of its cuisine, an explosion of authentic Mediterranean flavours.

Proof of this are the eight Michelin stars awarded to six of its restaurants. Unique rice dishes and traditional stews such as calder, olleta de muntanya and pericana are just some of the delicacies you can enjoy in this region. The only problem will be deciding which one to choose! Don’t miss any of its hidden corners and enjoy a complete Mediterranean experience.
